FAQ
Do I need a business or creator account?
Yes. Instagram DMs are only available for business and creator accounts. Personal accounts cannot use the DM API. You can easily convert your personal account to a business account in your Instagram settings.
Can I see story replies?
Yes. When customers reply to your stories, those messages flow directly into SendSeven as regular DMs. You can respond to story replies just like any other message.
What message types are supported?
SendSeven supports text messages, images, GIFs, video messages, carousel posts, and quick replies. Story replies also appear as standard DM conversations.
Is it free?
Receiving Instagram DMs is free. SendSeven's inbox and automation tools are included in your plan. You only pay for SendSeven's service — Instagram/Meta does not charge separately for DMs.
Can I connect multiple Instagram accounts?
Yes. Each Instagram account is a separate channel in your workspace. There is no limit on the number of connected Instagram channels.
What about Instagram comment replies?
SendSeven does not post public replies under your posts, because it is not a social media management tool. It can still react to comments. You define a trigger word and build a flow for it. When someone comments that word, the flow runs and can open a direct message with that person automatically. The conversation then continues in your shared inbox.
What is the Channel Connect Link?
The Channel Connect Link is a secure link you can share with your marketing team, agency, or a colleague. It lets them connect the Instagram channel without needing access to the rest of your SendSeven account. Find it in Settings → Channels.
